'G20 Delhi Declaration: Relevance, Impact & Challenges'

KIIPS is a think tank devoted to the vision and mission of providing a dynamic platform to discuss multifarious issues related to the emerging geopolitics and geo-economics of the Indo-Pacific region. It has been regularly organizing a number of high impact discussions on pertinent themes of the Indo-Pacific.

India's G20 presidency proved to be a milestone not only for India's diplomatic strides but also in projecting the need for inclusive multilateralism to find solutions to issues of global governance, and the challenges of the Global South in particular. Despite the inherent contradictions of a turbulent global security environment, India was able to find consensus and successfully release a comprehensive document in the form of the 'G20 New Delhi Leaders' Declaration'. The Declaration is full of promises and potential for greater impact, covering a wide gamut of human endeavour, to achieve the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As Brazil takes on the baton of the G20 presidency and runs the next mile, it is highly imperative to engage in an objective assessment of the New Delhi Declaration and analyse its Relevance, Impact and Challenges.

A National Workshop on 'G20 Delhi Declaration: Relevance, Impact & Challenges' to be organised by KIIPS in collaboration with an ICSSR-sponsored  Research Project awarded to Department of Political Science of the University of Kalyani, West Bengal on 6 August 2024, Tuesday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM at Conference Room II, India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi.
