Professor Manoj Kumar Mishra currently holds the position of Coordinator at the Malaviya Centre for Peace Research, Faculty of Social Sciences, BHU. His educational background includes an M.A., M.Phil, and PhD from the School of International Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, with his doctoral research focused on Ethnic Minorities in Central Asia. Prof. Mishra's current focus areas encompass Human Security, Peace Research, Peace Education, Environmental Security, and Environmental Conflict. His accolades include training on “Nurturing Future Leadership Program” at IIM, Kolkata in 2024 and international fellowships such as the Linnaeus-Palme International Exchange Programme in Sweden 2020 and 2022 and the UPSAM fellowship at the United Nations Mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica 2008-09. Additionally, he holds an International Diploma in Peace Research from the University of Oslo, Norway 2012. Prof. Mishra's research interests span environmental education, peace education, critical peace theory, teacher education, educational leadership, cross-cultural competence, intercultural peacebuilding, and cultural conflict and change.
Professor Mishra has authored or co-authored articles in several reputable journals, including the Journal of Peace Education (Routledge Taylor & Francis Group Publication, USA), Peaceworks Journals (India), Journal of Transdisciplinary Peace Praxis (UK), and a UGC CARE approved Journal. He has also reviewed a manuscript titled "Peaceful Resolution of Violent Conflicts in India the Gandhian Way", published by Springer Publication and Journal of Peace Education, Routledge, New York. Furthermore, Prof. Mishra serves as a principal investigator for projects from Anglia Ruskin University Higher Education Corporation, UK, Institute of Eminence, and Banaras Hindu University.
