Dr. Nisikant Nayak is a Senior Assistant Professor at the School of Governance and Public Affairs, XIM University, Bhubaneswar, India. His research centers on critical governance and policy issues, including climate policy, federalism, the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), circular economy, and the political economy of developing nations. Dr. Nayak holds an M.A. from Pondicherry Central University and a Ph.D. from the Central University of Rajasthan’s School of Public Policy and Governance.
He has further enhanced his expertise through advanced certifications from esteemed institutions, including: · Global Diplomacy: Diplomacy in the Modern World (2021-22) – University of London · From Climate Science to Action (2021-22) – World Bank Group · Global Diplomacy: The United Nations in the World (2022) – SOAS, University of London · How to Write and Publish a Scientific Paper (2022) – Institute of Polytechnique de Paris As a recipient of the UGC Major Research Fellowship (MRP), Dr. Nayak contributed as a Project Fellow to the study Assessment of Policy Priorities on Low Carbon Economy in India. With nearly a decade in academia and over seven years of post-Ph.D. teaching, he actively mentor’s undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students in Public Policy and Governance. His scholarly output includes a book (published internationally), three SCOPUS-indexed book chapters, and 13 peer-reviewed journal articles, primarily exploring federalism and India’s climate policies.
