Manish is Professor and Dean, School of International Studies, Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar (Gujarat, India). He has earlier (March 2001- Dec. 2005) served as Associate Fellow with the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA) and an Officer on Special Duty at the Government of India (Dec.2005 – March 2012). From March 2012 until October 2017, he was Head, Department of the International Relations, Sikkim University, Gangtok (Sikkim, India). He also holds various honorary positions: Advisory Board Member, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Policy Research and International Studies at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (Gujarat, India); Visiting Faculty, Naval War College Goa (Goa, India); Member, Board of Studies of the School of Foreign Affairs, Languages and Political Economy, Rastriya Raksha University, Gujarat (India), Member, Board of Studies, Department of Political Science at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (Gujarat, India), Member, Board of Studies, Parul University, Vadodara (Gujarat, India), Member, Board of Studies at the Sardar Patel University, Vidyanagar, Anand, (Gujarat, India), Member, Board of Studies at the Central University of Punjab to mention few. He has been on the selection panel of various Universities in India. Manish is a M.A., M. Phil. and Ph. D. from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. His areas of interest include foreign policy & strategic security aspects. He is the co-author of the book titled Jihadis in Jammu & Kashmir: A Portrait Gallery (SAGE) and has edited a volume titled: The Belt and the Road Initiative: Implications for India (PENTAGON PRESS).
